Weight Loss Goals

Like I mentioned here, I lost 100 lbs from diet and exercise.  I just watched what I ate and did a bunch of workout videos.  At the time, I did not want to be seen.  I was so ashamed that I got so big and I didn't want to run into anyone I knew or go to a gym and have others see me work out.  Shame kept me inside for a while.  I do not wish that feeling on anyone.

Lucky you...these are some behind the scenes of me from almost 2 years ago, doing a Turbo Jam video:

Jesse used to watch me do all my crazy kicks and wild moves....I am so glad that Bill takes such good pictures of me, especially when our apartment was so clean.

I am not quite at a "healthy" weight yet, but I am at a comfortable weight.  I call a comfortable weight, the weight that I am at where most everything I own fits and I can run.  I want to be at a weight that will be optimal for running - where I can run my best times.

There was a little setback in my weight loss over the holidays, it took me a while to get back on track, but I am back to watching what I eat and keeping my portions "normal sized."  I do not have a goal weight per se, but I am 5'6", so I would like to be in the 145-130 range I think - I want to take it 10 pounds at a time.

I understand the repercussions of posting my weight and that some people find it controversial, however, I am a numbers person.  I personally find it helpful when others post their weight (I know there are a lot of factors involved in that number on the scale such as muscle, bone mass, water weight, bla, bla, bla), be that as it may, I find them motivating.  I am learning to balance the numbers on the scale with the feeling of health.

02/14/2011 175 lbs

2/27/2011 178 lbs (don't judge - I had shin splints/calf issues)

3/6/2011 176 lbs

5/14/2011 179 lbs - I am back on track with my training plan so hopefully those pounds will disappear soon.
